Does any of this sound familiar?

Most of our clients came to us for exactly these reasons. You're not alone - and you don't have to put up with it.

Slow or unresponsive support

You log a ticket and wait. And wait. Nobody calls back until you chase them - by which point the problem has already cost you half a day.

Problems that never quite get fixed

The same issues keep coming back. Your printer, your email, that one folder no one can open. A workaround gets applied - and then it breaks again next month.

Cyber security worries you can't quite quantify

Phishing emails, password policies, Microsoft 365 security settings, backups - you know these things matter, but nobody has ever given you a straight answer about where you actually stand.

Microsoft 365 you're not really using

You're paying for it every month. But you've never had anyone set it up properly, check your security settings, or help you understand what you're actually paying for.

Advice full of jargon, short on answers

Your IT provider speaks in acronyms. You nod along but leave the conversation none the wiser. You shouldn't need a technical degree to understand what's happening with your own IT.

IT holding you back instead of moving you forward

Slow machines. Clunky processes. Systems that don't talk to each other. Your IT should help your business run better - not create an obstacle course for your team every morning.

No obligation. No hard sell. Just a straight conversation.

This is what IT support should feel like.

When IT is working properly, you barely notice it. You just get on with your day. When something goes wrong, someone picks up the phone. And when it comes to security, you know exactly where you stand.

That's what we've been providing to North London businesses since 2010 — reliable, responsive, plain-English IT support that solves the actual business problem, not just closes the ticket.

Responsive helpdesk support

Real people answer the phone - 90% of calls within one minute. When something goes wrong, you'll speak to an engineer, not a chatbot.

Proactive monitoring & maintenance

We don't wait for things to break. Your systems are monitored around the clock so we can fix problems before they ever reach you.

Microsoft 365 - done properly

Many businesses are paying for Microsoft 365 but not using it securely or fully. We configure it properly, protect it, and make sure you're actually getting value from it.

Practical cyber security

Not frightening - practical. We help you understand where your real risks are and put sensible, proportionate protections in place without making life difficult for your team.

Backup & email security you can trust

Your data backed up properly, tested regularly, and recoverable when you need it. Email security that stops threats before they reach your inbox.

Plain-English advice - always

No acronym soup. No jargon. No making you feel like you should already know this. We explain things clearly and help you make sensible IT decisions with confidence.

Support that fits your business

Fixed monthly costs. No hidden extras. No long-term lock-in.

Not sure which is right? Talk to us - we'll give you an honest recommendation.

We started NLITS because smaller businesses were getting the worst IT support - slow responses, tech jargon, and providers who disappeared when things went wrong. That's not good enough.

A bit about us

We set up North London IT Support because businesses deserved better.

I'm David Roth. I've been working in IT support for over 35 years - starting on service desks at some large organisations and progressing into management and consultancy roles. Eventually, I decided that the businesses I cared about most - the smaller ones, the local ones, the ones without a big internal IT department - were the ones getting the least reliable service.

So I started North London IT Support. Based in Muswell Hill, we work with businesses across North London and beyond who want a responsive, honest, plain-English IT partner - not just a helpdesk that closes tickets and moves on.

We're not here to upsell you products you don't need or wrap you in a long-term contract you can't leave. We're here to solve your actual IT problems, keep you secure, and give you straight answers.

How we work

Simple, straightforward, no surprises.

1

Talk

We start with a conversation. Tell us about your business, your current IT setup, and the problems that are getting in the way. No questionnaires, no jargon - just a straight, honest discussion.

2

Review

We take a close look at your current setup - your systems, your security posture, your Microsoft 365 configuration, and anything that's causing problems. We identify the risks and priorities.

3

Plan

We give you a clear, plain-English picture of what we recommend - what needs doing now, what can wait, and what's most important for your business. No unnecessary extras, no padding.

4

Support

Once we're working together, we onboard you properly, document your environment thoroughly, get your security in order, and provide responsive day-to-day support from people who know your setup.

Questions we get asked a lot

Do you only support businesses in North London?
Our home is Muswell Hill and we know North London well - but we support businesses across London and, for remote work, further afield. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, just ask. Chances are we do.
Can you take over from our existing IT provider?
Yes, and we do this regularly. We'll manage the transition carefully, document your environment properly, and make sure there are no gaps in support. A handover doesn't have to be stressful - we've done plenty of them.
Do you support Microsoft 365?
Yes - it's one of our core areas. We configure it properly, keep it secure, help with licensing, manage users and devices, and make sure you're actually using it effectively. A lot of businesses are paying for Microsoft 365 features they're not using.
Can you help with cyber security and Cyber Essentials?
Absolutely. We take a practical, proportionate approach - not a scary one. We'll help you understand where your real risks are and work with you to address them. We also support businesses working towards Cyber Essentials certification.
Do you offer on-site support?
Yes. Most issues can be resolved remotely, but when on-site support is needed, we can typically be with you within four working hours for managed clients. We're North London-based, so we're not far away.
Do you support Mac and Windows environments?
Yes to both, and to mixed environments. Many of our clients run a combination of Windows PCs and Macs, particularly in creative businesses and professional services firms.
Can you help if we're not ready for a full managed service contract?
Yes. Our Foundation package is designed for businesses that need reliable support without committing to a full managed service straight away. We can also start with an IT review so you understand exactly where you stand.
Can you check whether our backups are actually working?
This is one of the most important questions you can ask - and more often than not, backups that haven't been tested properly aren't working as well as people think. Yes, we can review and test your backups and give you a straight answer.
Can you improve our security without making everything difficult for staff?
Yes - and this is one of our core principles. Good security should be proportionate and practical. It shouldn't stop people doing their jobs. We help you get the right protections in place in a way that your team can actually live with.
